ARKANSAS — Multiple Amtrak trains have been suspended for Friday and at least one BNSF freight train has derailed following severe weather in multiple states in the Midwest.
According to Amtrak, Texarkana Station has sustained storm damage and the train platform is not accessible at this time.
Texas Eagle Trains 21/421 and 22/422 are unable to serve the station and ticket sales are suspended until further notice.
Alternate stations are about 35 minutes north and 90 minutes south of Texarkana. Customers must make their own arrangements to or from Texarkana.

Amtrak also announced due to a freight derailment, Train 3 (Southwest Chief) terminated in Albuquerque this evening.
Customers due to travel past ABQ should deboard in Lamy and board Train 4 back to their original destination, according to Amtrak.
Train 4 (Southwest Chief) is canceled between Los Angeles (LAX) and Albuquerque (ABQ).
